I picked up a new toy from the post office today. A Garmin FR50 including a foot pod. I actually bought the watch for the foot pod as it was only 1 DKK more than the foot pod alone. So now I have an extra Garmin that I plan to give to my sister loaded with a C25K plan.
Running with the foot pod, it turns out my cadence is 76/min, somewhat less than the supposedly optimal 90/min, maybe that is something I can work on in the future, but so far it's not a concern.
Today's workout was an easy 35 minutes. I ended up running 40 so I didn't have to walk so far home and covered 6.5 km in all. Tonight I will be doing the strength training from my plan for the 2nd time, I'm courious how sore I'll be from that in the next couple of days.
