First 100 km week.


I finished up an excellent week yesterday with my first weekly kilometerage or whatever the appropriate metric equivalent of milage is, over 100 km.

Sunday's long was also a distance PR for me at 29 km, my previous longest run being 26 km. I had expected it to be hard, but I felt amazingly strong and well running through the whole 2 hours and 26 minutes it took. I love runs like that!

I ran Thursday, Friday and Sunday in my new Asics Gel Nimbus 11 shoes. I've previously preferred New Balance and although the Nimbus shoes feel a bit heavy, they are very comfortable and seem to have better grip on the snow than my old NB913. So far I like them a lot.

Tue: 14 km incl. 10 x 100m strides
Wed: 23 km medium long
Thu: 8 km recovery
Fri: 18 km general aerobic
Sat: 8 km recovery
Sun: 29 km long run

Total for the week: 100.56 km

    I think it is amazing you run this much now with all this snow.
